SAPHAUS provides semi-independent accommodation and tailored support for young people aged 16-25. We offer both standalone and staffed shared semi-independent housing, with support levels ranging from minimal to 1:1 assistance, depending on individual needs and goals. Our mission is to help young people transition successfully into adulthood. The individuals we support may include care leavers, those experiencing homelessness, or unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people. Some may have complex needs, including mental health conditions, risk of self-harm, autism, learning disabilities, or emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD). We have expertise in supporting young people leaving secure or residential care, transitional services, and those requiring emergency placements.

SAPHAUS is dedicated to supporting young people on their journey toward independence by providing a safe, nurturing environment where they can develop, grow, and build resilience for the next stages of life. All support is tailored to individual needs through well-defined care and support plans, using evidence-based models to encourage personal growth and development.

Research shows that positive role models can significantly reduce the likelihood of risky behaviors such as substance abuse, violence, and aggression, while improving outcomes in education, employment, and social engagement. We recognize that care leavers often lack consistent adult figures in their lives, such as parents, siblings, or grandparents. At SAPHAUS, we aim to foster meaningful relationships to unlock potential and enhance existing skills. Our support staff are carefully selected, highly trained, and committed to delivering positive outcomes for the young people we serve.

We consider a young person’s mental, physical, emotional, and social well-being as central to our approach. SAPHAUS provides comprehensive risk management and holistically designed support packages that empower young people to recognize their individual strengths. This enables confidence to access training, education, employment, and life skills, ultimately fostering independence, success, and personal fulfillment.

From the very beginning, SAPHAUS offers a holistic support model emphasizing empathy and compassion. Our staff are trained to listen, care, and work at a pace suited to each individual, promoting autonomy and supporting the journey toward independence.

Ongoing assessments, tailored support planning, and regular reviews ensure consistency, commitment, and progress. Evidence-based programs, research insights, and feedback from young people and their families form the foundation of our continuous development and improvement.
